We woke up in Rotorua and had breakfast at the hotel before heading out to Lake Taupo. We stopped at a few places for pictures along the way including bubbling mud pools which were cool but also apparently really dangerous if you get too close cause they can burn you alive. It's fair to say we stayed quite far away!
We drove straight to a bungy jumping location where a few people from our group were brave enough to go for it. Then we drove into the town of Taupo and had burgers by the lake, which is the biggest lake in the Southern Hemisphere according to our tour guide. We walked around town for a bit and then headed to the hotel and had some down time and a little nap.
We then had to get ready for the themed boat cruise that was happening that night - so we all got our pirate eye patches, bandanas, hats, and temporary tattoos on! The boat cruise was fun, although very overpriced for what it was. We had some dinner and danced all night long! When the boat docked we waited for a taxi and then headed back to the hotel and to bed.
